  2. Wow, it’s like I wished for it, and there it was – a post by you! ;-) As always, your words have a sound unique to you, and are delightful. And the images – really wow! All three are superb – I don’t know which I like best – I love the dark forest with that radiant tree, the smooth blues and solid rocks at down (good for you!) and that sandy watery mix – such a subtly gorgeous array of color there, I love it. Excellent, all of them! You must be pleased. Oh, and what about the watercolor? You know I love your watercolors – this one’s a gem. It’s so full of joy. I bought some tubes a week or so ago…please help me use them, Poppy! ;-)

What a great enthusiastic response Lynn .. how lovely, thank you , I’m quite bowled over .. and nothing to do with the NY Eve celebratory drinks going on ;) SO glad you’ve enjoyed the moments I’ve photographed here. Over to you now with your paints and brushes :) have fun and I hope you share at some point too. Keep up that good work with physio, DD fractured a couple of bones in her hand recently but 6 wks on she is pulling on her Archery bow pretty well . All down to specific exercises that she has kept up with .
Wishing you a VERY Happy new year ahead Lynn xx :) Catch up soon.

  3. I shall never capture the beach like you and Adrian do, but it is a good thing that we are not all alike. Love your artwork Poppy and I sincerely hope we see more in 2017. Wishing you and yours a happy, peaceful and artistic year ahead.

    1. Aw thank you so much Jude for those lovely comments .. I’m sure if you felt the urge to capture dawn and sunrise you might be surprised at how much that Cornish landscape and coastline can work its magic within oneself and then on into your photography :) Early mornings are hard, but the rewards can be very worth that wretched alarm dinging ! Happy new year Jude and wishing you happy travels, wanderings and good times in your new garden down there in Cornwall xx

  4. Poppy, so great to see you posting again. That woodland tree is simply magical – a fantastic image, congratulations. The others are lovely as well but that one stole my heart and my imagination. And as always I truly love your little painting. Wishing you everything wonderful in the new year.

    1. Thank you very much for those lovely comments Andy . I’ve been really trying hard to find the right moment AND light in the last year :) Happy new year to you too , I expect you’re looking forward to much not least the winter greys disappearing and Spring when it comes …. a little too early to say it’s around the corner just yet .
Winter sun .. yes .. I have to admit … it’s rather lovely ! Thank you again Andy .

  6. Oh Poppy, so beautiful! I was looking forward to seeing this post and am not disappointed. The grace and serenity of the magical tree – you were meant to be there at that moment, as I’m sure it would not have lasted. The surfer emerging onto the sand – the colours and textures are almost unearthly, and in a strange way remind me of a frozen lake I saw in Iceland. Your watercolour is lovely, spontaneous and effortless!
